LOVED making these! Made a pair for my 6 year old using Batman flannel and just finished some pink ones for my 2 year old. Soooooo easy, comfy and cute! Going to use this for a project for my teen daughter to work on.

My ten year old made these for our county fair. She placed 2nd, but more importantly, she’s worn them every night since we got them back from the fair display. She loved making them, as it was fun and fast, and she loves wearing them! Great pattern for beginners.

Just made a couple pair for my 2 year old son. They fit beautifully and were super fun to make. Directions were very clear and easy to follow. I will use this pattern for as long as possible. Can’t wait to get to the store to find fun new fabrics!

I finished three pj pants for my granddaughters and they turned out so cute! I did the whole project in one evening. So easy and the directions are very clear.

    Hello
How Can You Tell the Back from the Front?

    • The Cloth Parcel (verified owner)

Because of the extra loose fit, these pants are the same front to back.

    Hey there,

I’m a bit confused on the directions. Is there a step missing? I sewed my two parts together and I’m so confused about the “match the curved seams so that the legs are ready to sew together.” Is there a video? What am I missing??!?!

Hi Melanie, after you sew the curved seams, you need to open the pants up and match the two seams you just sewed together. This will fold the legs in half and then you can sew the seam along the inside of the legs.

The waist sizing is done by the size of the elastic, not the size of the waist. How much are you allowing for stretch? For example – is a 20″ piece of elastic supposed to fit a 21″ waist? 22″ waist?

Typically the elastic size is about 3″ smaller than the waist size, so 20″ would work for a 23″ waist. If you are able to do a test fit, that is the best option. You will want the elastic snug, but not tight.

I just finished making 35 pair to donate to our local Child Abuse Prevention agency! Great pattern I do assemble them differently though! Turned out great!
