Hi Bonnie, for all of those pieces in Crimson Crown, with the exception of the 4 patch, the finished sizes are the same as the cut size of the largest piece in the unit. I can’t put the exact dimensions in this public comment, but I will email you.

I have read the directions and am very disappointed that they don’t provide ‘finish sizes’ for each unit.
Can you please provide the finish dimensions for: Half square triangles, flying geese, 4 patches, pointed rectangle block, square in square and for each block?
Your directions do not allow for squaring up of any units. Biased pieced units never come out the same size without this essential step. And of course without the correct sized units the quilt can’t be pieced accurately.
I look forward to receiving more precise instructions for the “Crimson Crown” quilt pattern. It is a beautiful pattern and I’m looking forward to making it.

Hi Sherry, this pattern was designed in conjunction with Bluprint, and they requested specific things from us. Personally, we hate trimming to size, so this method is our preference on quilts with a lot of pieces. If you’re using a regular scant 1/4″ seam, you should be fine!

I am currently putting it together for my daughter. I am finding it very difficult to put together. All other patterns when making flying geese or HST the fabric is cut larger so it can be trimmed down to size. This pattern has you cut the pieces at size so it was very hard get them to come out the correct size. It’s not finished yet, but I hope I can get it to come out well enough to get it quilted.

Hi Kerry, this quilt was a kit from Bluprint/Craftsy that used their own fabric line, called Boundless Maison Rouge. They’ve gone out of business, so I don’t think you can get it anymore. The original kits sold out quite quickly.
