Field Study: The Farm Chicks Antique Show

We had a super time at the Farm Chicks Antique Show in Spokane, WA.  We had been wanting to attend this event for a few years, and we were finally able to make a girl’s weekend of it.  It’s just as big and fun and packed with people as we heard it was.  Although super crowded, most people were very pleasant, which made it all worthwhile.  The added bonus was meeting up with old friends from Seattle.

Here we are at the front doors showing off our vintage shopping cart, complete with new custom liner.  We had lots of people ask us where we got it; future pattern?  Thanks to Rania for supplying the cart.  You just can’t find the ones with green wheels anywhere these days.farm chicks 4We are seeing Union Jacks everywhere lately, but this toned-down version is pretty classy.

We met up with our friend Shawna of Salty Bison, and one of her awesome signs came home and found the perfect spot in Audrey’s dining room.

Some of our other fun finds from the show were:

A colorful chandelier for Diane’s art studio,

and little mushrooms for the shade garden made from old jello molds. farm chicks 12farm chicks 3

The show was truly a smorgasbord of everything you could imagine.  All of the displays were amazingly done.  We could have spent many more hours there, because it was impossible to see it all in just one day.  If you ever get the chance to attend the Farm Chicks show, don’t miss it!

  1. Came to visit your website after seeing your ad on the SewSheCan e-mail I received today. Diane, I love the top you are wearing in these photos. It is just my style. Where did you find it?

    1. Hi Lori! It’s a cross-woven green linen dress (worn as a shirt) by Flax Clothing. It is several years old, but they do have lots of current similar styles.
