Design Freebie: Basic Quilt Sizes Printable
Ever wonder just what size you should be making your quilt top? Most quilt patterns can be modified to fit certain bed sizes by adding or subtracting rows or borders. Here are some basic sizes for standard bed sizes. Keep in mind that these are approximately the comforter size to cover just the top mattress.
8.5″X11″ version // Half sheet with two purse sizes version
Click on the links above to download the version you’d like. We made an 8.5″x11″ version, and another one with a half sheet size and two smaller purse sizes. Thank you!! I’m just completing a large Grandmothers flower quilt also, and I too wondered about the binding. I was also told to cut and make it straight, but, like the other comment this has been over a year in the making. Why cut corners now!!
