Vintage Vibe: Little Joys Christmas Apron

Little Joys Apron 1 webWe wish a Merry Christmas to all with this hostess apron we whipped up, from our own pattern and fabric from Penny Rose’s Little Joys.  We love these prints with the absolutely perfect touch of nostalgia and modern.  The little cookies made us hungry, so we had to whip up a batch of sugar cookies to go with the apron. Little Joys Apron 4 webWe made the top rather simple to be figure flattering and added a double ruffle flounce to look cool and flip around your knees when you walk and spin.  Then we finished it off with candy stripe pockets and trimmed everything in Christmas red.Little Joys Apron 2 webHere’s the back view: you won’t see this but everyone else will see the cute red ties.Little Joys Apron 5 webAnd we’re zooming in to give you a close-up of the smashing detail on those pockets, ruffles, and the super cute fabric.Little Joys Apron 6 webWe are also designing a table runner and lap quilt with lots of little felt cookies and candy striping to go with this apron, so you can look for the pattern to come out in plenty of time for next year!  Merry, merry Christmas to you and yours!
