Pattern Retirement Sale, Round One

Pearl Flower Doll Quilt

We’re ready for some spring cleaning around here, and we have decided that our pattern library needs to be cleaned out!  We’re going to be retiring some of our oldest designs over the next few weeks.  Each small group of five or less patterns will be on a HUGE sale for one week, giving you one final chance to buy.  We still believe in these patterns for their accuracy, but we’re ready for a different vibe!

If you’ve already purchased some of these patterns, don’t worry, because they will still be accessible in your pattern library on our website.  Are you ready to see which designs are leaving us this week?  These five patterns are available through March 7th for just $1 each!

This was our very first mini quilt pattern.  At the time, we marketed it as a doll quilt, because that’s what we typically used them for at the time.  The mini quilt scene is a lot bigger these days, with mini quilts also being used as wall hangings, art pieces, and table toppers.  We want our minis to be bright and bold, like the ones in our Mini Modern Quilt Bundle!  The Pearl Flower Quilt is a great beginner project, though, if you’re looking to entice a younger generation into learning to quilt with you.

The Flower Bud Pincushion and Scissor Fob is an unsung hero.  We love this little gadget for our traveling handwork, like appliqué, binding, and paper piecing.  The pincushion holds pins (obviously), but the inside of the flower also holds other little loose items, like thimbles.

The top cinches shut to keep things in place.  Little hand scissors are attached by a length of ribbon, which can hang out of the way around your neck while you’re working.  We use our Flower Bud Pincushions all the time!  There are two sizes available in the pattern, but we almost exclusively use the large size.  It almost needs a different name to truly describe what it does… but what?

These cuddly baby blankets were a staple for Audrey’s kids when they were little.  Her youngest is almost four and still carries his around with him all day.  We use minky, AKA cuddle, fabric on one side, and flannel on the other.  You could really use any fabric for this, but that particular pairing seems perfect.  The pattern gives sizing for baby blanket and burp cloth, tips for sewing with minky, and options for rounded or square corners.  They make a great baby shower gifts!

The Ruffled Flower is a fun embellishment that you can add to a pin back, hair clip, or elastic headband.  Customize the look with your fabric of choice.  We have used regular quilting cottons and denim, both with great results!  This pattern is half sewing, half crafting.

The Felt Flower Bow pattern is unique, in that it leans more toward the crafting side, with minimal hand sewing.  We used our bows as hair clips and on headbands.

These would also make fun baby shower gifts, plus they are pretty quick and easy to make.  You could make a Felt Flower Bow in every color combination you can imagine!

Remember, you have JUST ONE WEEK to buy any of these five patterns, before they are retired for good.  Don’t miss your chance to buy the ones you want!  Stay tuned for the next round of retiring patterns, which will open next week, once this round is closed.
