Piece & Joy Quilt Kit

Our newest quilt kit for Bluprint (formerly known as Craftsy) is called Piece & Joy. (affiliate link)  It’s the second in a series of large scale holiday picture quilts, after the Piece & Love quilt. (aff. link). We designed this giant evergreen tree with Christmas and holiday celebrations in mind.  We will be posting about the Piece & Love quilt soon, since we just realized we never shared it here on the blog!

Per usual, the quilt pattern for Piece & Joy belongs to us, but we have a period of exclusivity with Bluprint for them to sell it only in their kit for a few months.  We always release the pattern separately later on, though.  Leave us a comment if you want to be contacted when the pattern comes out, or join our newsletter and you’ll be the first to know.

We love the green striped binding, but we’re always up for a good stripe.  You can’t really tell from the photos, but the background fabric is not just a solid white; it’s a subtle low-volume print.  

The fun thing about these large scale quilts is all of the background space to play around with quilting.  These free motion designs remind us of a cable-knit sweater.  We love the modern colors in these fabrics.  The unconventional navy pairs so nicely with the green, pink, red, and teal.
